When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
A customer may comment that in below freezing weather the windows may fog up. The customer may also comment about excessive amounts of road noise in rear seat floor area, or water in the rear floor area.
The technician should look for the parking brake cable grommets not seated properly to lower floor pan. Have the technician remove the lower rear seat cushion and pull the carpet back from the floor pan to gain access to the grommets. If the grommets are not seated properly, then push them back into the body opening from the under side of the vehicle and seal the inside and outside of the grommets with silicone sealer.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
