When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

Repeat 10 Amp park lamps fuse in rear BEC blows. Other symptoms may be no IPC illumination, no tail lights, no front park lamps, and/or no switch illumination. BCM may have a DTC of B2585 symptom code 06 and possibly B2526 s/c 02. The B2585 s/c 06 will turn the SVS light on if current.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Confirm that the blown park lamp fuse is not due to a short to ground on circuit 9 (brown wire) at the rear BEC. If not then REMOVE, cavity A7, of connector C3 At the IBCM and see if the fuse blows. If it does, then repair circuit 9 (brown wire) between rear BEC and IBCM. If fuse does not blow with cavity A7, of connector C3 removed from IBCM, then unplug the hazard switch and reinstall cavity A7 of connector C3. If the fuse does not blow, then replace the hazard switch per SI Document Number 1238147. If the fuse still blows, look for a short to ground on circuit 8, the interior dimming circuit.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
