Information to Avoid Pinching Windshield Washer Hose When Servicing Battery or Underhood Electrical Center

This bulletin is to advise technicians that when servicing the battery and/or the underhood electrical center, be careful not to pinch/damage the windshield washer hose when reinstalling the battery cover.

The windshield washer hose is routed in close proximity to the battery tray and underhood electrical center. After servicing a battery or the underhood electrical center, inspect the windshield washer hose routing and verify that this hose is not pinched under the battery cover. A pinched washer hose may result in reduced washer fluid flow to the washer nozzles.
