This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that the horn(s) for the above listed vehicles may be susceptible to water intrusion due to their mounting location. When replacing a horn, check carefully for signs of water in the trumpet part of the horn. If signs of water are present, install wheelhouse liner extension, P/N 22735669, to help prevent water intrusion into the horns, which could result in repeat failure of the horns. Use the procedure listed below.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Install the new extension using existing retainer and 4 new retainers, P/N 11610086. Drill necessary holes using a 7 mm (0.25 in) drill bit.
