Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the throttle body from the vehicle. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (SFI) .
  2. Drain any remaining engine coolant into an appropriate container.

  3. Object Number: 241902  Size: SH
  4. Remove the 4 screws and the IAC valve (2) from the throttle body (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 241902  Size: SH
  1. Install a new rubber gasket (1) onto the throttle body (3).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the IAC valve (2) to the throttle body (3), and secure the valve with the 4 screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 IAC valve screws to 3.3 N·m (29 lb in).

  5. Install the throttle body to the engine. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (SFI) .
