Removal Procedure
- Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
- Release the heater core inlet hose clamps at the bulkhead and:
| • | At the intake manifold - 1.0L |
| • | At the thermostat housing - 1.3L |
- Remove the heater core inlet hose.
- Release the heater core outlet hose clamps at the bulkhead and
at the radiator inlet hose:
| • | Running along the top of the transaxle - 1.0L |
| • | Above the starter - 1.3L |
- Remove the heater core outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the heater core inlet hose to the bulkhead and:
| • | To the intake manifold - 1.0L |
| • | To the thermostat housing - 1.3L |
- Secure the hose with clamps.
- Connect the heater core outlet hose to the bulkhead and to the
radiator inlet hose:
| • | Running along the top of the transaxle - 1.0L |
| • | Above the starter - 1.3L |
- Secure the hose with clamps.
- Refill the engine cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
