Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the plastic retaining clips and the hatchback door inner trim panel from the vehicle.

  3. Object Number: 351744  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the rear wiper motor electrical connector (1).
  5. Remove the rear wiper motor ground screw.
  6. Remove the following components from the hatchback door:
  7. 5.1. The 3 rear wiper motor mounting nuts (2)
    5.2. The wiper motor (4)

    Important: The wiper motor crank arm is not serviced separately. Do not disconnect the wiper motor crank arm from the wiper motor. The crank arm is positioned on the wiper motor in order to allow the wiper arm to return to the normal park position.

  8. Remove the rear wiper linkage from the rear wiper motor crank arm.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 351744  Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper linkage to the wiper motor crank arm.
  2. Install the wiper motor assembly (4) to the hatchback door. Secure the wiper motor assembly with 3 nuts.
  3. Install the wiper motor ground screw.
  4. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector (1).
  5. Install the hatchback door inner trim panel. Secure the trim panel with the plastic retaining clips.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
