Circuit Operation

The front speakers are located in the front doors. The rear speakers' location depends upon the model:

    • On 2-door models, the rear speakers are mounted in the rear quarter trim panels.
    • On 4-door models, the rear speakers are mounted in the rear seatback-to-rear window shelf.

The radio incorporates an electronic memory for the following:

    • Preselected stations
    • Clock settings

The DOME fuse applies battery voltage at all times for the following:

    • The radio clock
    • The memory circuitry

If this voltage source is interrupted for any reason, reset the clock and the memory functions.

With the ignition switch in the ACC or ON position, the ACC fuse applies battery voltage to the radio. When you turn ON the radio ON/VOL control, the switch applies voltage in order to power all the electronic radio functions. The radio is permanently grounded at G203.
