Did you perform the rear defogger system check?

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Press the rear defogger switch to the ON position.
  3. Use a J 35616-200 in order to backprobe the rear defogger connector C1 from the BLK wire cavity to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Inspect for a poor ground connection at G300 (4-Door) or G402 (2-Door).

Is the ground connection poor?

Go to Step 4

Repair the poor ground connection.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect for an open in the BLK wire between the rear defogger and G300 (4-Door) or G402 (2-Door).

Does the BLK wire have an open?

Repair the open in the BLK wire.

Inspect for an open in the RED/WHT or BLK wire between the rear defogger and the rear defogger switch.

Is there an open in the RED/WHT or BLK wire?
