Front Side Door Window Replacement 4 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 352113  Size: MH
  3. Gently pry the inner mirror garnish (8) from the door.
  4. Pull the water deflector (2) far enough away from the door in order to gain access to the window bottom sash-to-regulator screws.

  5. Object Number: 352166  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 window bottom sash-to-regulator retaining screws (1).

  7. Object Number: 352136  Size: MH
  8. Remove the window assembly from the door.
  9. Remove the window (1) from the bottom sash (6).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 352172  Size: SH
  1. Coat the bottom sash (2) with soapy water in order to ease the installation of the window (1) into the bottom sash (2).
  2. Install the window (1) to the bottom sash (2). Align the window (1) in the bottom sash (2), ensuring that the distance from the bottom sash (2) rear screw to the rear edge of the window (1) is 269.5-273.5 mm (10.61-10.76 in).

  3. Object Number: 352173  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Use care not to overtighten the window bottom sash-to-window regulator screws.

  4. Install the window assembly to the door. Secure the window bottom sash-to-window regulator with the 2 screws (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the window bottom sash-to-regulator screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  6. Set the adjusting screws so that the measurements between the front door window (2) and the front door window frame (1) are equal at the points indicated by the 2 sets of arrows.
  7. Inspect the window for correct front/rear and left/right position. Adjust the window as needed.
  8. Apply adhesive to the back of the water deflector.
  9. Place the water deflector in the normal position.
  10. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  12. Install the inner mirror garnish (8) to the door.

Front Side Door Window Replacement 2 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 352113  Size: MH
  3. Gently pry the inner mirror garnish (8) from the door.
  4. Pull the water deflector (2) far enough away from the door in order to gain access to the window bottom sash-to-regulator screws.

  5. Object Number: 352166  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 window bottom sash-to-regulator retaining screws (1).

  7. Object Number: 352136  Size: MH
  8. Remove the window assembly (1,5) from the door.
  9. Remove the window (1) from the bottom sash (6).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 352168  Size: SH
  1. Coat the bottom sash (2) with soapy water in order to ease the installation of the window (1) into the bottom sash (2).
  2. Install the window (1) to the bottom sash (2). Align the window (1) in the bottom sash (2), ensuring that the distance from the bottom sash (2) rear screw to the rear edge of the window (1) is 262-266 mm (10.32-10.47 in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   7. Inspect the window for correct front/rear and left/right position. Adjust the window as needed.

  9. Place the water deflector in the normal position.
  10. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  12. Install the inner mirror garnish (8) to the door.
