Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 352151 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Pull the water deflector far enough away from the door in order to gain access to the handle rod (2) and the handle lock rod.
  3. Remove the outside handle rod (2) and the outside handle lock rod from the joints (1) of the outside door handle.

  4. Remove the 2 nuts and the outside door handle (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 352149 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the outside door handle (1) to the door. Secure the handle with the 2 nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the outside handle to door nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Install the outside handle rod (2) and the outside handle lock rod to the joints (1) of the outside door handle.
  3. Apply adhesive to the back of the water deflector.
  4. Place the water deflector in its normal position.
  5. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
