The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced with a P0455 DTC, which may be due to a restricted EVAP purge valve vacuum hose.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, inspect the EVAP purge valve hose for a kink in the area shown below, which is near the throttle body/throttle position sensor. If kinked, reposition or replace the hose as necessary.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
