When relative motion between components is improperly controlled, squeaks and rattles may result. Prevent squeaks and rattles using the following procedure:

    • Attach each component securely in order to ensure that the component operates with no relative motion.
    • Separate the components in order to ensure that the components do not contact each other during operating conditions.
    • Insulate components in order to ensure that no squeaks or rattles occur with relative motion between components. Low uniform friction surfaces are available which will eliminate stick-slip motion.
