Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry System Check?

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

1. Ensure that the rear compartment lid is closed.
2. Press the rear compartment lid release switch.

The rear compartment lid switch is located left of the steering column in the instrument panel.

Does the rear compartment lid release?

Go to Step 3

Go to Rear Compartment Lid Release Inoperative in Body Rear End

1. Ensure that the transaxle shifter is in the PARK position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
3. Use a test light in order to probe between the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) connector terminal F and the ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

1. Inspect for a poor connection at C200 terminal 4B and RCDLR.
2. Inspect CKT 275 between the RCDLR connector terminal F and S223 for the following conditions:

•	A poor connection

•

An open

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 6

--

1. Inspect for the following conditions at the RCDLR connector terminal G and at C430 terminal A:

•	A poor connection

•

An open

2. Replace the RCDLR if no condition exists. Refer to Receiver Replacement

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 6

--

1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
2. Reconnect any connectors that have been previously removed.
3. Reinstall any components that have been previously removed.
