Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 3100 Engine

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
2. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement



3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the inlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose from the thermostat housing.



5. Use the J 38185 in order to reposing the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.
6. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator.
7. Remove the inlet hose.

1. Position the inlet hose to the vehicle. Align the marks on the hose.
2. Connect the inlet hose to the radiator.
3. Use the J 38185 in order to secure the inlet hose clamp at the radiator.



4. Connect the inlet hose to the thermostat housing.
5. Use the J 38185 in order to secure the inlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing.
6. Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement
7. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement 3800 Engine

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Partially drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
2. Remove the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement



3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the radiator.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator.



5. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the thermostat housing.
6. Disconnect the inlet hose from the thermostat housing. Remove the inlet hose.

1. Align the marks on the hose. Install the inlet hose.
2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the inlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing.



3. Connect the inlet hose to the radiator.
4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the radiator.
5. Install the left diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement
6. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
7. Inspect for leaks.
