Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 444496  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
  2. Carefully remove the air intake duct from the throttle body (1).
  3. Loosen the 4 screws holding the housing cover in place.
  4. Remove the housing cover and air cleaner element.
  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly hold down bolts (2).
  6. Remove the air cleaner assembly cover from vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air cleaner assembly into the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly hold down bolt next to the battery.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the air cleaner assembly cover to chassis bolts (2) between 8-12 N·m (70-110 lb in).

  5. Reinstall the air cleaner element and housing cover.
  6. Install the air cleaner element and air cleaner element housing.
  7. Carefully install the air intake duct to the throttle body (1).
  8. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
