Inspect fuse 28 in the fuse block.

Is fuse 28 open?

  1. Remove the instrument panel compartment lamp bulb from the socket.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to probe the instrument panel lamp bulb terminal B and the ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Use a test lamp in order to probe between the instrument panel lamp bulb socket terminals A and B.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 11

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between B+ and the instrument panel lamp switch terminal B.

Did the test light illuminate?

  1. Reconnect the instrument panel lamb bulb into the socket.
  2. Connect a 10A fused jumper between the instrument panel lamp switch terminal A and terminal B.

Did the instrument panel light illuminate?

  1. Replace fuse 28.
  2. Inspect fuse 28 again.

Is fuse 28 open again?

    • A poor connection
    • An open

  1. Inspect the instrument panel lamp connector and socket for poor connection.
  2. Repair as needed.

Repair the following conditions in CKT 150:

    • A poor connection
    • An open

  1. Inspect the instrument panel lamp switch for proper operation.
  2. Repair or replace as needed.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
