Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the wiper blade assembly onto the wiper arm assembly.

  2. Object Number: 334231 Size: SH
  3. Return the wiper transmission assembly to the park position.
  4. 2.1. Turn the ignition to the ACCY position.
2.2. Turn the wiper/washer switch on and then off.
2.3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

3.2. Push the wiper arm assembly down onto the wiper transmission drive shaft completely.
  7. Install the nut onto the wiper transmission drive shaft and the wiper arm assembly.
  8. Tighten
Tighten the nut to 23 N·m (17 lb ft)

  9. Install the cover on the nut.
  10. Lift the wiper arm assembly up onto the park ramp.
  11. Important: Lubricate the hose with windshield washer solvent to ease installation onto the nozzle.

  12. Connect the hose onto the nozzle.

Inspection Procedure

    • Inspect the park position. Both wiper arm assemblies must be snug against park ramps.
    • Inspect the wipe pattern. The dimension should be 55-132 mm (2.17-5.20 in) from the tip of the driver's side wiper blade assembly on the outerwipe to the edge of the glass.
    • The correct park position and outerwipe dimension are determined with the wipers operating at low speed on wet glass.
