  • Inspect fuse 10 in the fuse block.

  1. Replace fuse 10.
  2. Inspect fuse 10.

Is fuse 10 open?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp.
  4. Probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal B1 and B2.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Connect a test light.
  2. Probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal B1 and the ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  • Repair the short to ground in CKT 640.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 9

  1. Inspect the following component:
  2. The seat belt/ignition key/lamps alarm connector terminal B1 and terminal B2 for a poor connection.
  3. Replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamp alarm if no poor connection is found. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal B2 for a poor connection.
  2. Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 1550 if the connections are good.

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal B1 for a poor connection
  2. Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 640 if the connection is good.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reinstall the connectors/components that were removed.
