Inspect the park lamps fuse in the engine wiring harness junction block 2.

Is the park lamps fuse open?

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp.
  4. Probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps harness connector terminal A1 and the ground.
  5. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK or HEAD position while observing the test lamp.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

  1. Replace the park lamps fuse.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the park or head position.
  3. Inspect the park lamps fuse again.

Is the park lamps fuse open again?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

Repair a short to ground in CKT 1340 or CKT 308.

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector for a poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm if the connector is good.
  3. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7

  1. Use a test light to probe the headlamps switch terminal I and the ground.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to HEAD or PARK.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect all connectors/components that have been disconnected.

Have all repairs been made?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 308.

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 7

Replace the headlamp switch.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7
