Passenger Doors Do Not Unlock; Driver's Door Unlocks

  1. Reprogram all transmitters.
  2. Refer to Transmitter Programming .

  3. Perform the UNLOCK feature again.

Does the UNLOCK function work on all of the doors after performing the transmitter programming procedure?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) connector.
  3. Disconnect the door lock relay connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between the RCDLR harness connector terminal B and door lock relay harness connector terminal F using a Digital Multimeter (DMM).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 3

  1. Reconnect the door lock relay.
  2. Momentarily connect between B+ and the RCDLR harness connector terminal B using a 10A fused jumper.

Do all of the doors lock?

Go to Step 5

Repair the following conditions in CKT 194:

  1. A poor connection
  2. An open

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect the RCDLR connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the RCDLR if the connector is OK. Refer to Receiver Replacement

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7

  1. Use a test light to probe the door lock relay terminal E and the ground.
  2. Press either door lock switch to the unlock position.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect any connectors that have been previously disconnected.
  3. Install any components that have been previously removed.

Have all repairs been made?

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

Repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 294 between the door lock relay terminal E and S314 (4 door) or RF door lock actuator connector C2 terminal A (2 door).

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect the door lock relay connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the door lock relay if the connector is OK.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7
