Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 583626  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the low brake fluid level switch (6).

  2. Object Number: 165377  Size: SH

    Notice: Brake fluid will damage electrical connections and painted surfaces. Use shop cloths, suitable containers, and fender covers to prevent brake fluid from contacting these areas. Always re-seal and wipe off brake fluid containers to prevent spills.

  3. Place a suitable container in order for the brake fluid to drain in when the low brake fluid level switch is removed.
  4. Remove the low brake fluid level switch (1) using needle nose pliers in order to compress the switch locking tabs at the inboard side of the master cylinder (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 165377  Size: SH
  1. Install the low brake fluid level switch (1) to the master cylinder (3).

  2. Object Number: 583626  Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the low brake fluid level switch (6).
  4. Fill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling .
