Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the connector from the front wheel speed sensor.
- Remove the harness attaching clips (2) from the control arm (3) and the splash shield (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the harness attaching clips from the strut tower.
- Cut the wheel speed sensor wiring circuits within the main engine harness.
- Strip the insulation on the engine harness leads and the new wheel speed sensor harness leads.
Installation Procedure
- Splice the sleeve provided in the jumper harness kit over each engine harness lead.
- Install the new wheel speed sensor harness leads to the engine harness leads and crimp the connections. Make sure the wire colors match.
- Heat shrink the tube lightly to seal the connection.
- Install the harness attaching clip to the strut tower.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Install the harness attaching clips (2) to the control arm (3) and the splash shield (1).
- Install the connector to the front wheel speed sensor.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check.
