Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

Test the high beam signal circuit between the body control module and the inverter module for a short to ground.

Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  2. Turn the high beam headlamps on.
  3. Backprobe the inverter module to test for ground at terminal E (Do not disconnect the inverter module). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is ground present at the terminal?

Go to Step 4

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Important: Perform the setup procedure for the BCM. Refer to BCM Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Replace the inverter module.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
