1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly to the HEAD position.
3. Disconnect the license lamp connector.
4. Connect the test lamp between terminal A of the license lamp harness connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect the test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the license lamp harness connector.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Repair open in CKT 9 between Splice 9B and terminal A on license lamp connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs

Is repair complete?

(Pontiac coupe license lamps will always be on when ignition key is on.)

Replace the license bulb.

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the open in CKT 150. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
