Inspect the rear compartment courtesy lamp bulb.

Is the bulb filiment open?

Use a testlamp connected to a good ground in order to test for battery positive voltage at terminal A of the rear compartment courtesy lamp connector.

Does the testlamp light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

Use a testlamp connected to battery positive in order to test for ground at terminal A of the rear compartment courtesy lamp switch connector. (Ensure that the rear compartment lid is open.)

Does the testlamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 737 between the courtesy lamp and the courtesy lamp switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

System OK

Replace the rear compartment courtesy lamp.

Inspect for poor connections at the rear compartment courtesy lamp connector and terminal X of harness connector C200. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the rear compartment courtesy lamp switch connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
