Was the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check Performed?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the high beam position.
  2. Backprobe in order to test for battery voltage at terminal B of the headlamp switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was battery voltage present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Replace the headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement.

Did you complete the replacement?

System OK

Test for an open in CKT 1200 between the headlamp switch assembly and each headlamp assembly. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 5

Inspect for poor connections at each headlamp assembly and terminal B of C101. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 6

Replace the left and right headlamp bulbs. Refer to Headlamp Bulb Replacement.

Did you complete the replacement?

System OK
