Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 591294 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement Trim Plate Bezel Replacement-IP Cluster.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
  4. Press the tabs to remove the switch plate (3).
  5. Remove the switch.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the switch.
  2. Install the switch plate.
  3. Connect the electrical connector (2).
  4. Install the trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement Trim Plate Bezel Replacement-IP Cluster.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
