Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP.
  3. Remove the screws from the trim plate.
  4. Gently pry the trim plate from the instrument panel, only near the retaining clips.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the instrument panel lamp electrical connector.

Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the instrument panel lamp electrical connector (1).
  2. Align the trim plate tabs to the retainers around the HVAC control and the radio.

  3. Install the screws to the trim plate.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
