The power mirrors will operate with the ignition switch in any position. The power mirror switch consists of a 3-way mirror select switch and a 4-way directional switch. The mirror select switch is used to select which mirror will be controlled. Pushing the mirror select switch to the right will give you control of the right power mirror. Pushing the mirror select switch to the left will give you control of the left power mirror. The center position of the mirror select switch is the neutral position. Selecting the neutral position will render both mirrors inoperative from the directional switch.
The power mirror directional switch is used to control the angle of the mirror glass. The directional switch is a 4-way switch. The directional switch works in conjunction with the mirror select switch to control whichever mirror is selected with the mirror select switch. Pressing the directional switch in the up or down position will control the vertical angle of the mirror glass. Pressing the directional switch in the right or left position will control the horizontal angle of the mirror glass.
The power foldaway mirrors will operate with the ignition switch in any position. The foldaway mirror switch is a momentary switch that controls the extend and retract of the foldaway mirrors. Pressing the switch one time will cause the foldaway mirrors to either extend or retract, depending on the starting position of the foldaway mirrors. Pressing the foldaway mirror switch again will cause the foldaway mirrors to return to their original position.
