Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 283991 Size: SH
  1. Remove the retaining nuts (3) from deck lid spoiler.

    2. Object Number: 283992 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the deck lid spoiler wire harness connector (1).

    3. Object Number: 283991 Size: SH
  3. Remove the deck lid spoiler (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 283991 Size: SH
  1. Position the deck lid spoiler (1) on the deck lid.
  2. Pull gently on the deck lid spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.

    3. Object Number: 283992 Size: SH
  3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the deck lid spoiler.

    4. Object Number: 283991 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the deck lid spoiler nuts (3).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the spoiler nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
