Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the compartment lid assembly. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear.
  2. Remove the compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid.
  3. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window.

  4. Object Number: 284020  Size: SH
  5. Remove the compartment lid hinge bolts (3).
  6. Remove the compartment lid hinge (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 284020  Size: SH
  1. Install the compartment lid hinge (4).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the hinge bolts (3) to the rear window panel.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window.
  6. Install the compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid.
  7. Install the compartment lid assembly. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear.
  8. Adjust the compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Adjustment - Rear.
