Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

Test the headlamp switch battery supply circuit for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the turn/headlamp switch assembly connector.
2. Connect a fused jumper between the battery supply circuit and the low beam headlamp feed circuit at the headlamp switch connector.

Do the low beams light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the turn/headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Test for an open in the low beam headlamp feed circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the left and right headlamp ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK
