Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

Use the Scan Tool in order to command the courtesy lamps OFF.

Do the courtesy lamps turn OFF?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Test for a short to ground in the interior lamp control circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 7

Test for a short to ground in each of the door jamb switch signal circuits. Refer to

Power Door Locks with Keyless Entry

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 5

Test each door jamb switch for proper operation. Refer to the following:

Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find a malfunctioning door jamb switch?

Go to Step 6

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Replace the malfunctioning door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Important: Perform the set up procedure for the body control module.

Replace the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .
