Tools Required

J 43178 Prizm Fuel Line Quick Connect Separator.

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
2. Remove the quick connect coupling cover.



3. Disconnect the quick connect coupling for the fuel feed hose from the fuel feed pipe of the fuel rail using the J 43178 Prizm Fuel Line Quick Connect Separator. Use a shop towel to catch any remaining fuel that may leak. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .



4. Remove the fuel feed line quick connect coupling cover (1).



5. Disconnect the quick connect coupling for the fuel feed hose from the fuel feed chassis pipe. Use a shop towel to catch any remaining fuel that may leak. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
6. Remove the fuel feed hose from the vehicle.

1. Connect the quick connect coupling for the fuel feed hose to the fuel feed chassis pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .



2. Install the quick connect coupling cover (1).



3. Connect the quick connect coupling (1) for the fuel feed hose to the fuel feed pipe of the fuel rail (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
4. Install the quick connect coupling cover.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Turn ON the ignition in order to pressurize the fuel system.
7. Turn OFF the ignition.
8. Check for any fuel leaks.
