Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 238154 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the end cap (1) and the lower cushion from the fuel sender assembly .
  3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

    4. Object Number: 238155 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining clip (1) from the fuel pump strainer .
  5. Remove the fuel pump strainer (2).

    6. Object Number: 238156 Size: SH
  6. Remove the fuel sender assembly housing (2) from the fuel level sensor and gauge unit assembly (1).
  7. Remove the fuel filter cushion from the fuel filter.

    8. Object Number: 238157 Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the fuel pump .
  9. Remove the fuel pump (3) from the fuel filter (2).
  10. Remove the fuel filter (2) from the fuel level sensor and gauge unit assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 238157 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel filter (2) to the fuel level sensor and gauge unit assembly (1).
  2. Install the fuel pump (3) into the fuel filter (2).
  3. Connect the electrical connector (4) to the fuel pump .
  4. Install the fuel filter cushion to the fuel filter (2) .

  5. Install the fuel sender assembly housing (3) to the fuel level sensor and gauge unit assembly (1).
  6. Install the fuel pressure regulator (4) to the bottom of the fuel filter (2).

    7. Object Number: 238155 Size: SH
  7. Install the fuel pump strainer (2) to the fuel pump.
  8. Secure the strainer with the clip (1).

    9. Object Number: 238154 Size: SH
  9. Install the lower cushion to the bottom of the fuel pump.
  10. Install the fuel sender assembly end cap (1).
  11. Install the fuel sender assembly into the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
