Important:: The OBD System Check must be performed prior to performing the High Voltage Disable Procedure.

Was a Drive Motor Control Module DTC 105 present?

The 12-volt system has been disconnected. With the key OFF and the charger disconnected remove the manual high voltage service disconnect.

Is the action complete?

Turn the key to the ON position and check if the power steering pump runs after the specified time.

Did the power steering pump run after the specified time?

20 seconds

Go to Step 6

  1. Remove the battery pack high voltage cannon connector from the back of the power inverter module.
  2. Use a DMM in order to probe the two large terminals on the battery pack cable cannon connector.

Is the voltage less than the specified value?

5 Volts

Proceed with vehicle service

Did the power steering pump run longer than the specified value?

1 minute

Go to Step 7

Internal Battery Pack service is required.

Refer to Battery Pack Service Manual. Take the vehicle to a certified battery pack technician.
