A strut support anchors the upper end of each strut to the body. A rubber mount isolates each strut and its strut support.

The lower end of the strut is connected to the upper end of a steering knuckle. The lower end of the steering knuckle is attached to a ball stud. The ball stud is part of a unit with a control arm.

Movement of the steering wheel is transmitted to the tie rod end and then to the knuckle. This movement causes the wheel to turn.
