Important: Ensure the following conditions are met before adjusting the cable:
• No air is trapped in the brake system, refer to

in Brakes • Brake pedal travel is within specifications, refer to
Brake Pedal Travel
in Brakes • Brake pedal has been pressed 3 to 10 times with about 30 kg
(66 lbs) load • Parking brake lever has been pulled up 3 to 10 times with about
20 kg (44 lbs) of pressure and completely released • Rear brake shoes are not worn beyond the limit, and the self-adjusting
mechanism operates properly
- Loosen or tighten the locknut (3) until the parking brake is applied with 6 to 8 clicks and 20 kg (44 lbs) of pressure.
- Secure the locknut after proper adjustment is attained.
