Wheel Speed Sensor Jumper Harness Replacement Front

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the Front wheel speed harness connector (located behind the headlamp assembly inside the engine compartment).
  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Vehicle Lifting And Jacking in General Information.
  3. Disconnect the Front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the two retaining bolts and remove the jumper harness from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install jumper harness to the vehicle
  2. Secure the harness with the two retaining bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the harness bolts to 8 N·m (70.8 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Connect the Front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting And Jacking in General Information.
  6. Connect the Front wheel speed harness connector.
  7. Perform the Diagnostic System Check

Wheel Speed Sensor Jumper Harness Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the Right rear combination lamp assembly. Refer to Lighting Systems and Horn.
  2. Disconnect the Rear wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Vehicle Lifting And Jacking in General Information.
  4. Remove the two bolts retaining the Rear wheel speed sensor cover and remove cover.
  5. Disconnect the Rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the Jumper harness from the vehicle including the pass-through grommet.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Jumper harness to the vehicle including the pass-through grommet.
  2. Connect the Rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  3. Install the Rear wheel speed sensor cover.
  4. Secure the Rear wheel speed sensor cover with the two retaining bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the cover bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting And Jacking in General Information.
  7. Connect the Rear wheel speed sensor jumper to harness connector.
  8. Install the right rear combination lamp assembly. Refer to Lighting Systems and Horn.
  9. Perform the Diagnostic System Check
