  10. Remove 2 lower compressor mounting bolts (5), while disengaging the compressor drive belt from the A/C compressor clutch pulley.
  11. Remove the compressor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 345583 Size: SH
  1. Install the compressor to the vehicle. Secure the compressor with two lower compressor mounting bolts (5). Do not tighten fully.
  2. Install the compressor drive belt to the compressor pulley.
  3. Install the upper compressor mounting bolt (1).

  4. Object Number: 345564 Size: SH
  5. Adjust the belt tension to obtain 6-9 mm (0.24-0.35 in) deflection (4) with 10 kg (22 lbs (thumb pressure) of force applied.
  6. Tighten the upper and lower compressor mounting bolts.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
Tighten the upper and lower compressor mounting bolts to 18-28 N·m (13-20 lb ft).

  8. Connect the compressor clutch electrical connector.
  9. Coat new discharge and suction hose O-rings with 525 viscosity mineral oil.

  10. Object Number: 345581 Size: SH
  11. Connect the suction (1) and discharge (3) hoses to the compressor. Secure the discharge and the suction hoses with two bolts.
  12. Tighten
Tighten the compressor discharge and suction hose bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  13. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  14. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
