Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 345603  Size: MH
  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector (8).
  3. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure switch from the receiver/dryer.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure switch to the receiver/dryer.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure switch to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  3. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure switch electrical connector (8).
  4. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  5. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
