Removal Procedure

  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 345603  Size: MH
  3. Remove the bolt and the compressor suction hose at the compressor (4).
  4. Disconnect the compressor suction hose pipe fitting (3) above the radiator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 345603  Size: MH
  1. Coat new O-rings with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
  2. Install the new O-rings to the refrigerant pipe fittings.
  3. Connect the compressor suction hose pipe fitting (3) above the radiator.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the compressor suction hose pipe fitting to 45 N·m (33 lb ft)

  5. Install the compressor suction hose at the compressor (4). Secure with 1 bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in)

  7. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  8. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
