Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the 2 horn electrical connectors.

  3. Object Number: 351843  Size: MH
  4. Remove the following in order to remove the front end upper panel (5) from the radiator core support. Position the upper panel aside.
  5. • The 6 upper bolts
    • The 4 lower bolts
    • The 2 upper screws from the center brace
  6. Disconnect the condenser fan electrical connector.

  7. Object Number: 345589  Size: SH
  8. Remove 4 bolts and the condenser fan from the condenser.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the condenser fan (1) to the condenser (3), if necessary. Secure with 4 bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the condenser fan mounting bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  3. Connect the condenser fan electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 351843  Size: MH
  5. Install the front end upper panel (5) to the radiator core support. Secure the installation with the 6 upper bolts, the 4 lower bolts and the 2 upper screws for the center brace.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front end upper panel bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  7. Connect the 2 horn electrical connectors.
  8. Install the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
