Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 345587  Size: SH
  3. Remove 3 compressor lower mounting bracket bolts and remove the bracket (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 345587  Size: SH
  1. For models equipped with power steering, install the compressor lower mounting bracket (2) to the vehicle and secure with three bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the compressor lower mounting bracket bolts to 18-25 N·m (13-20 lb ft).

  3. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 345586  Size: SH
  5. For models without power steering, install the compressor lower mounting bracket (3) to the vehicle and secure with three bolts.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten

        • Tighten the compressor lower mounting bracket bolt (1) to 18-25 N·m (13-20 lb ft).
        • Tighten the compressor lower mounting bracket bolts (2) to 40-60 N·m (29-43 lb ft).
        • Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
