Removal Procedure

  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  3. Object Number: 345603  Size: MH
  4. Remove the 1 bolt and the pipe from the condenser outlet (6).
  5. Remove the 1 bolt and the pipe from the receiver/dryer inlet (7).
  6. Remove the condenser-to-receiver/dryer pipe from the radiator-mounted guide bracket and from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 345603  Size: MH
  1. Coat new O-rings with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
  2. Install the new O-rings to the refrigerant pipe fittings.
  3. Install the condenser-to-receiver/dryer pipe to the vehicle.
  4. Secure the pipe in the radiator-mounted guide bracket.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the pipe to the receiver/dryer inlet (7). Secure with the bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the receiver/dryer inlet pipe bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  8. Install the pipe at the condenser outlet (6). Secure with the bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the condenser outlet pipe bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft)

  10. Install the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  11. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  12. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
