Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear window
and window frame. Refer to
Folding Top Rear Window Replacement
.
- Unfasten the top end (1) of the side window.
- Unfasten the rear end (1) of the side windows.
- Completely unzip the zipper
to the appropriate position (1).
- Pull the side window down and forward in order to unhook the bottom
end (2) and the front end (3) of the side window.
- Remove the side window from the vehicle.
- Unsnap the tension snaps (1) from the roof rails.
- Pull the tension straps (1) out from the plastic loops (2).
- Unsnap the flaps (1)
from the roof support near the dome lamp (2).
- Detach the canvas top from the center top bow, if removing the
canvas top from the vehicle.
- Push in the folding top
latch buttons (2).
- Pull the latch (1) back.
- Unhook the latch (1) from the front top bow.
- Lift the front top bow.
- Unsnap the folding top (3,
4) material from the front top bow (1, 2).
- Detach the rear bottom corners of the canvas top using the following
procedure:
| 16.1. | Unfasten the fastener (1). |
| 16.2. | Unhook the bottom of the canvas top (2). |
- Unsnap the folding top
material (2) from the rear top bow (1).
- Remove the folding top (2) material from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the folding top
material to the vehicle. Snap the folding top material (2) to the
rear top bow.
- Fasten the rear canvas corners (2) to the body (3).
- Snap the folding top material
(3, 4) to the front top bow (1, 2).
- Move the front top bow forward (1, 2).
- Hook the folding top latches (1)
to the front top bow.
- Push the latches (1) down until the latches click into
place.
- Attach the top (1)
to the center top bow, if removed.
- Snap the flaps (1) to the roof support near the dome lamp (2).
- Pull the tension straps (1) through the plastic loops (2) in order
to snap the tension straps (1) to the roof rails.
- Install the side windows
to the vehicle. Zip the windows fully closed.
- Install the rear window and window frames. Refer to
