Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 351526 Size: SH
  1. Remove the 2 screws which secure the front seat outer adjuster trim cover (2).
  2. Remove the front seat outer adjuster trim cover (2) from the seat.

    3. Object Number: 351532 Size: SH
  3. Pull the front seatback recliner mechanism handle off the recliner mechanism (1).
  4. Remove the 3 screws which secure front seatback recliner mechanism trim cover (2).
  5. Remove the front seatback recliner mechanism trim cover (2).

    6. Object Number: 351541 Size: SH
  6. Remove the front seat adjuster actuator cable (2) from the recliner mechanism (1).
  7. Remove the 2 mounting bolts which secure the front seatback recliner mechanism (1) to the front seat cushion.
  8. Remove the nut which secures the front seat back.
  9. Remove the front seat back from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front seatback to the front seat cushion. Secure the front seatback with the nut.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the front seatback retaining nut to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  2. Install the front seatback recliner mechanism (1) to the front seat cushion. Secure the recliner mechanism (1) with the 2 mounting bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat recliner mechanism mounting bolts to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  3. Install the front seat adjuster actuator cable (2) to the recliner mechanism (1).

  4. Install the front seatback recliner mechanism trim cover (2) to the recliner mechanism (1). Secure the front seatback recliner mechanism (1) with the 3 screws.
  5. Install the front seatback recliner mechanism handle to the recliner mechanism (1).

    6. Object Number: 351526 Size: SH
  6. Install the front seat outer adjuster trim cover (2) to the front seat. Secure the front seat outer adjuster trim cover (2) with the 2 screws.
