Rear Seat Latch Striker Replacement 2 Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 351547  Size: LH
  1. Fold the rear seatback (14).
  2. Pull the rear seat release handle (1) in order to raise the rear seat.
  3. Unclip the rear seat support rod (10) from the bottom of the seat.
  4. Support the rear seat.
  5. Remove the 3 snap clips at the front of the rear floor carpet.
  6. Move the carpet back in order to reveal the striker mounting bolts.

  8. Remove the 2 mounting bolts which secure the rear seat latch striker (1).
  9. Remove the 2 screws which secure the rear seat latch striker (1).
  10. Remove the striker (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 351576  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat latch striker (1) to the vehicle. Secure the striker with the following components:
  2. • The 2 screws
    • The 2 mounting bolts

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat latch striker mounting bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  3. Reposition the carpet. Secure the carpet with the 3 snap clips.

  5. Clip the support rod (10) to the bottom of the rear seat.
  6. Lower the seat.
  7. Raise the rear seatback (14) into the upright position.

Rear Seat Latch Striker Replacement 4 Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 351576  Size: SH
  1. Fold the rear seatback. Raise the rear seat.
  2. Move the carpet in order to reveal the latch striker mounting bolts.
  3. Remove the 2 mounting bolts from the latch striker (1).
  4. Remove the latch striker from the vehicle (1).

    Tighten the rear seat latch striker mounting bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  3. Reposition the carpet. Secure the carpet with 3 snap clips.
  4. Clip the support rod to the bottom of the seat.
  5. Lower the seat.
  6. Raise the rear seatback into the upright position.

Rear Seat Latch Striker Replacement 50/50 Split

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 521260  Size: MH
  1. Fold the rear seatback.
  2. Raise the rear seat.
  3. Unclip the rear seat support rod (3) from the bottom of the seat. Support the rear seat.
  4. Remove 3 snap clips at the front of the rear floor carpet.
  5. Remove the carpet back far enough in order to reveal the striker mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the 2 mounting bolts which secure the rear seat latch striker.
  7. Remove the 2 screws which secure the rear seat latch striker.
  8. Remove the striker from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 521260  Size: MH
  1. Install the rear seat latch striker to the vehicle. Secure the rear seat latch striker with 2 screws and 2 mounting bolts.
  2. Reposition the carpet. Secure with 3 snap clips.
  3. Clip the support rod (3) to the bottom of the rear seat. Lower the seat.
  4. Raise the rear seatback into the upright position.
