Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear door from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Door Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 351640  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 3 upper hinge bolts from the upper hinge (2).
  4. Remove the upper hinge (2) from the vehicle.

  5. Object Number: 351639  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 3 lower hinge bolts from the lower hinge (2).
  7. Remove the lower hinge (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 351639  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the lower hinge (2) to the vehicle. Secure the lower hinge (2) to the vehicle with the 3 bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door lower hinge bolts to 32 N·m (25 lb ft).

  3. Install the upper hinge (2) to the vehicle. Secure the upper hinge (2) to the vehicle with the 3 bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door upper hinge bolts to 32 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear door to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Door Replacement .
